Just like business cycle where start, growth, maturity and decline are the phases, there is group cycle. wondering what is this group cycle. When many people with diverse backgrounds, tastes and aspiration meet and form a group, the group follows the following cycle:

I'll do it: They all do not accept the views of others and want others to agree upon their views. For sake of it they are ready to handle the whole assignment/ Project on their own.
This stage remains for very short period.

You'll do it: The second stage of group is very interesting. Everyone says the same statement but for different reasons

>> Few guys who got exhausted after first few days of extra enthu performance
>> Those who were blamed earlier for dismal performance of the group. They can further be subdivided
a> one who have realized their mistakes (very few)
b> those who have” Now I see how will u do it" in back of their mind
>> Those that lacks self confidence and want to live in the shadow of others
>> Last but not the least our lazy bone and royal kings.

We'll do it: By this stage, everyone has understood that they are in the same boat. Now they got divided in small groups for assignments and projects and try to live with the differences.

Who'll do it: Nobody is interested; nobody wants to talk to anyone. They don't even want to see the face of each other. (Dilemma: who will do the assignment)? The scapegoat is generally a studious type of guy who loves his grades more than anything else. If there is no such person in the group than that group survives on the mercy of Profs.

From few days I am observing one thing. There is always mob in front of devil board (our grade board in front of class. for my convenience I will call it Hahakar). Hahakar has got more audience in Tapmi than a matinee show viewers. You will find some stupids ( Hahakaris) always standing over there. Sometimes it seems like this that Hahakar is the only place except class where they can be found out in the college. There is a totally unique breed of such people. It looks like they are doing PhD on grades distribution. Moreover, Hahakaris are not at all selfish. They keep track of everyone's grade. They always encourages people who has got grades less than them (Pat themselves) and curses themselves when they meet anyone who has got more grades. Most of them would be absent from all the events which are ungraded and need some mind scratching. A hahakari would typically ask 10-30 people their grades in a day.

One of my favourite lyrics. I like it very much. A classic . It's every line somewhere touches me very deeply.

hazaaron Khvaahishen aisii ki har Khvaaish pe dam nikale bahut nikale mere armaaN lekin phir bhii kam nikale
nikalanaa Khuld se aadam kaa sunate aaye hain lekin bahut beaabaruu hokar tere kuuche se ham nikale
muhabbat men nahiin hai farq jiine aur marane kaa usii ko dekh kar jiite hain jis kaafir pe dam nikale
Khudaa ke vaaste pardaa na kaabe se uThaa zaalim Kahiin aisaa na ho yaaN bhii vahii kaafir sanam nikale
KahaaN maiKhaane ka daravaazaa 'Ghalib' aur kahaaN vaaiz par itanaa jaanate hain kal vo jaataa thaa ke ham nikale
